With 10 000 people expected to visit the Townsville Fishing & Outdoor Expo at the Townsville Turf Club this weekend, here are some tips designed to make your visit enjoyable, safe and fun.
- The expo opens from 8am each day, closing at 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.
- Admission is $10 for adults with children under 14 free
- Parking is available in the Racecourse car park and in the vacant land bounded by Racecourse Road and Stuart Drive
- PATRONS ARE WARNED NOT TO PARK ILLEGALLY OR ON THE ROADSIDE OF RACECOURSE ROAD (BRUCE HIGHWAY) AS THIS IS A DANGER TO PEDESTRIANS AND MOTORISTS AND POLICE WILL PATROL THIS AREA.
- People should not park in the vacant land or commercial properties opposite the racecourse or attempt to walk across the highway.
- The Racecourse is a licensed premise and no alcohol can be taken onto or off the site.
- The will be a range of food and beverage available with catering by Lions, Rotary, The TPI and commercial vendors
- A bar will operate from under the grandstand and TAB facilities will be operating on Saturday.
- Eftpos cash out facilities are limited and patrons are advised to bring cash.
- The main door prizes and exhibitor competitions will be drawn at the main stage at 4pm Sunday
The 16th annual Townsville Fishing & Outdoor Expo will be held at the Cluden Park Racecourse on Saturday and Sunday May 28th & 29th from 8am each day. Admission: Adults $10, Children U14 - free
